Had a few beers... looking at this hand this morning I can't get over how awful that attempt at a blocking bet is. Everything that bets me is raising and there is nothing I beat. So spew, please berate.

To protect against a Q, 9, 8 or club?

I had the feeling his raise was a value bet and he's not doing it with much I'm ahead of so I'm calling for pot control to evaluate a turn and not bloat the pot OOP?

Id consider check-calling river although you give no read whatsoever on your opponent.
TJ and clubs both missed and with you checking twice I think alot of villains feels obliged to bet either of those missed draws.

I don't think you should be calling the raise OOP on a flop like that. It's pretty draw heavy and there's plenty of worse hands that will call a 3bet.

Did you have any reads on the guy? If he's super aggro bluffy I would agree with calling and c/r a reasonable turn card. Also if the flop was like Q22r, then calling is also fine. But this case it is not a dry flop.

IMO you're not bloating the pot with a 3bet, you're most likely getting a hell of alot of value out of Qx type hands while protecting against the many draws that are out there.
