Shove, chances are he's raising 10s pre flop and he isn't limping with a 2.

AsTs is a possibility, that's what I'd guess

call, and check-call the river..

this is one of those way ahead/way behind situations.. which u pretty much can't fold.. so u have to call/check-call to maximize ur profits vs a weaker hand, and lower ur losses vs a made hand.

'greed. Re-raising will just make the better hands call and the worse hands fold. A donk with a 10 may call a RRAI but he'll also bet the river, so meh.

I was sooooooooooooooooo tempted to call. He instacalled the flop raise which in and of itself didnt put me on edge, but how quick he raised me on the turn did. Since his stats were the way they were I took the time to think through this hand. I kinda didnt think he had a 2 since he called preflop from 1 UTG. I tried to imagine what hand I would play the way he did. After I did this everything seemed to just fit for it so I folded.

I STILL WANT OBSERVATIONS ON THIS ONE SO THE RESULTS ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN WHITE BELOW
Luckily I was right. He said he thought for sure he had me. He commented on my good laydown. He showed 1010.

I felt pretty proud of myself.

I think you played this very well, in the cold light of day (when you know villains hand) it looks like a straight forward fold, but when you flop trips with a BB special your first thought must have been "how do I get his money in?". To be able to still think logically and objectively in these situations is a real skill.

If I'm honest I could not have laid this down. Eclipse's post was real food for thought for me personally and I think that is the best way to play these situations in the long run, but in this particular hand you got it spot on.

Note : very surprised at villains limp with that hand, based on his stats.
