Default Is there any justification for my play or did i play this like a donk?

Cash Game. Blinds $5/10. i had $990ish at this point.

Seat 1 and 2 fold.
Seat 3 (loose aggressive player on $560) calls for $10.
Seat 4 folds
Seat 5 (Hadn't had long enough to see how he was playing on $1000) raises to $40.
Seat 6 and 7 fold.
Seat 8 Me (Button) 9h 5h. calls for $40.
Seat 9 and 10 (blinds) fold.

Seat 3 min raises to $80. Seat 5 calls and i call. Pot =$255.

Flop Kh Kc 7h.

Seat 3 bets $160. Seat 5 folds and i reraise all in. he thinks about it and calls.

Pot = $1200 ish.

Turn 4c River Qh. I make my flush and he filps over aces and proceeds to berate my play.

He was right. i really shouldn't be in there with that. But my thinking was i was on the button and i had been playing loose aggressive. i thought if i caught i could win a huge pot and that if i didn't i might be able to win it qith position. In hindsight the guy with $560 obviously had a big hand and i don't think i had fold equity againdst him.Preflop once i'd called for $40 i had to call for just another $40. When he lead out i was pretty sure he didn't have a K as his bet was too big. i thought there was an outside chance that i could represent the K myself. I thought even if i got called i'd have outs and i did and for a change i got there.

I'm sure my play was dreadful. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I dont like your play at all, but the guy with Aces played it even worse than you so its ironic that he berated you for your play.

I told him he played them riskily. He milked them, but when you do you allow in ppl to outdraw you. it was an embarrassing hand for all involved. I'm just pleased that for the first time in ages i outdrew someone, rather than being outdrawn, and that i had the money to be embarrassed with.

I really really don't like playing that preflop.

I wouldn't have called anything pre-flop wioth that hand. I don't care how much money you have in front, do you really think that 9 5 suited is worth $80 pre-flop. Your obviously up against big cards. even if it does hit you gotta fold. i don't care if its 2 pair on the flop. Your caller has a bigger pair. Chances are he could make another pair or even worse the board could pair and you would be out big because you decided to play rags. I'm not hating, if you were up against me i would encourage you to play that pre-flop because my odds would be through the roof!
