Any reads on BB?

With 2 spades, I think I raise the flop to around $12.

I personally raise the flop. But I like the way you played it. By all means you have to get it in on the turn as you did. It's obvious he's betting a made hand here as the duece is a blank.

My thinking on flop is

#1 Im confident im ahead
#2 If I raise and he has A/X he might fold, if he has nothing he obviously fold's
#3 If I flat call he might think Im on a hand like 10/10 j/j q/q and if he's bluffing and thinks that I have a high pair he might bluff it all on the turn to try to get me 2 lay it down.

These are the thoughts I had and the reason I came with cold calling and getting it in on turn.

Anybody agree with my reasoning?

I'm raising the flop, if he has Ax and you just call his bet your giving him a chance to pair his x, if he has a flush draw then your not putting pressure on him, which i think you should always do to people with draws. Imagine if his Ax was A 2 but even if you raised im pretty sure he's calling with AQ.

With your preflop raise I think the flop bet looks like a FD. I wanna raise this flop something awful. To be honest I hate getting this much into hands early without an idea of how people play.

Luckily he turned out to be a total donk. I mean seriously, he didnt even think to put you on AK?
