nothing wrong here, played fine if it was a flop like A/9/4 I would check flop but not when a turn can make a straight possible.

Yea, I think you have to bet it out. In an unraised pot it's very likely that any ace will think he's good. Additionally you don't want a hand like q/10 or k/q picking up a free gut shot as project pointed out. Really though even on a board like a/9/4 I still bet it out there. Any ace screams to me that anyone with a/9+ is going to lose some money in these lower limits to you. No one flopped anything with you in this hand to contend it. Well played just hope someone flops second best next time

yeah, ill always bet my sets when their is an ace on board. People will trip over eachother trying to give you all their chips with their ace.

You played it perfect. Trust me, no one folded an Ace, a Jack better than J9, or KQ.

usually Ax, Jx, or gutshot will look you up here, so it is just unlucky that they all had like 78o.

You shoul d always bet on this board b/c lots of times ppl limp w/ Ax.

Also, if the AJ arn't there (ie: maybe board is A84) you may wanna bet less to get some action. only if there is no strait or flush draw. if there is flush or strait draw, bet pot like you did here.

Confirmation bias is a strong influence.

I fail to see how confirmation bias has any relevance to this post.
