Default Maybe I just suck at poker?

My trend of losing big pots while only winning small pots seems to be continuing. I knew he had a set, I even typed it into the chat box before I donkey called. I don't know why I call BUT I KEEP FUCKING DOING IT. It just seems like anytime I get a big pair PF, 1 of 2 things will happen....

1> I raise PF and get 1/2 callers. They miss the flop, I bet and they fold. I win something like $8.

2> I raise PF and get 1/2 callers. One of them flops a set/2 pair/etc, I go broke.

So what's the solution? Do I just shut down anytime I get action? Take comfort in winning the small pots and anytime a pot grows I should just fold unless I'm holding the nuts? Like here, I saw $28 of my money that I had already invested in this pot and I didn't just want to give it up. How do I know he's not shoving on a flush draw? How do I know he doesn't have 99 and think I'm bluffing?

Seriously, I dont think I really know how to play this game anymore.

By pf play, I'm guessing a mid pair. By calling your nice raise, he likely should folded pocket 2's so it's tough to put him there. I guess he could have had TT, but also could have had AT - AK and/or flush draw. Could have also been slow playing KK or AA

There is about $44 in the pot (with your $20) so I think the call of $63 more was right with your over-pair.

Deuces?? What a donkey. TT is more possible here but his lead out leaves me to believe he wants to see a turn.

I go broke here, too. Only because of the lead...any reads?

Theres nothing wrong with the your play its just your at a loose table. If your getting 1/2 callers on a table all the time that means their not respecting your raises hence the caller with pocket 2's.

Solutions:
-Raise more preflop
At casinos I play $1/$2 games if i have 2 limpers infront of me i raise $20, I rather take down the blinds and the limpers money then lay down my big hand and if I get heads up their most likely going to either have a middle pair(not high pair cause if they did they would reraise us) or a ace-X to be able to call our raise so you can most likely eliminate small pairs like those 2's.

-Just move to another table if your finding the table that loose calling with pocket 2's.

but thats just me coming from a casino stand point as I've never played a internet cash game hope that helps a bit.

Raise it 10x with QQ? Que? Sorry but that just seems like a total donkey move. Though I'm still 10 months away from stepping into a casino so what the hell do I know?

yeah i know 10x is quite a bit but i do it. The casino I've been too thats seems to be the standard raise like I know where your coming from I havnt played any internet cash games as I dont ahve a visa yet but ive watched people on internet usaully do make 3 or 4 times the big blind but at casino. People there seem to just want to try out poker and dont know a whole lot if I raise $8 im going to have half the table calling.
