Guy buys in short and is calling down on this board? I don't think he's trapping a better hand. He's looking for a way to get his stack in if we're beat and your bets would induce him to get proactive. Check/calling the $11 isn't bad. Check/folding to more than $10 isn't bad either. I'd rather make a blocking bet of about $7-$8. He seems to be in calldown mode.

Checking on the river is basically like giving him the pot. Bet it yourself he'll probably call with Kx (Ks) which would be my first assumption of his hand from the BB. And you may get another Ace to lay down. It will also keep you out of a tougher decision if you're beat by a slowplayed flush he might simply call because the board paired.

You gave up control of the hand by checking. He's only got 40something left at trhis point so a bet of $10 or so should be enough to scare him away if he has an Ace and at the same time be a value bet if he has Kx or something.

I think given the fact you are out of position then your flop and turn bets are about right. I would personally have bet slightly more on the flop as it was 4-way. Half pot on the turn is fine because it gives your opp 3-1 to draw to his flush (his most likely holding imo). He has no implied odds because you are folding if a 4th spade hits.

I'm interested on how others would play the river. I think the 8 on the river is an ideal card for us to make a blocking bet. If we make a blocking bet then only a FH is raising us, sure we still lose to a flopped flush, but most importantly we prevent a busted flush draw from bluffing us off the best hand.

I lead for $9-11 here. Checking basically says to him "bet and it's yours".
