Default JJ get reraised on a non-scary flop

Villain is a bit of an unknown running 35/0 over 70 hands. Do we like the check-raise here? As played what's our play when he pushes?

Well at NL25 and him leading out with a pot size bet, he has no set. They don't just bet out with a set...it is possible though you've run into someone who knows what they're doing and knows that value bets are what makes profit. But until he proves that...don't give him credit.

I call.

You'll see 99, TT, AKs, AQs, A8, KQs, and other drawings hands enough times here for this to be a profitable and +EV call.

Lead the flop and 3-bet shove. His push after a CR is really strong IMO. Without the spades out there, I can fold. With the spades and the 5-8 out there, his range is wider. I call.
