Hand #1 is somewhat avoidable. I play PF/Flop/Turn the same, and I'm check/calling any bet less than $12-$15 on the rvier; check/folding any bet over $20; and going into the tank for bets between $15-$20.
Hand #2 is avoidable only if villain had been nitting it up for at least 100 hands. I'm going broke here against 95% of the players I see. I hope you have your HUD up if you're on auto-pilot; villain would need to be running stats of 12/8 or less for me to fold PF. I'm always going broke on this flop.

Hand 1: If I think my queens are good on the flop, I push now. If I don't think they're good, I fold. Unless I have a great read on the villian, I probably push and wind up with the same result. But I prefer get my money in with some outs (a 9 or running spades) just in case I'm against KK, AA, or a straight/set/two pair..
I'm going broke 80% of the time on hand 2. When I'm on top of my game (the other 20% of the time), I fold preflop thinking I'm against KK, AA, or AK... I just don't see JJ, TT, AQ, AJ, AT coming over the top like that...
