Default $50NL hand

$50NL on Tribeca.

Limper is like 50% VPIP over 30 hands.

History:

I had on button and after his UTG limp raised it up to $3.50 and got a blind and him call.

Flop was 3 clubs. Blind bet out like $5 into $10 and UTG loose player flat called, I shoved over the top for an effective bet of around $30 more (reckless, I know). He obviously called with . Nothing like geting your money in drawing dead.

Next round. I have $50, he covers me. He has open limped in EP and I look down at and make it $2.50 to play. He calls.

Flop (pot = $6.5)

He checks, I bet $5 and he calls.

Turn

he checks, I check behind

River (pot 16.50)

he checks, I bet $10, he min raises to $20
I ...........

Ah, push it - push it real good
If he had the flush, would he have checked to you on the river after you had checked the turn? I doubt it.

i dont

pushing is really bad here, its close between calling and folding, I generally cannot fold due to the good pot odds and the fact he can easaily be a terrible player with something like a set or 2 pair thinking you are bluffing b/c of the turn check.

I play it pretty much the same

Unless $50NL on Tribeca is drastically different from the $50NL on stars, I think we're ahead here. If I just got played by someone holding the flush, kudos to them. (Keep in mind, I did post this recently.)

My decision was call or fold. I made a reluctant call.

This is a fold imo. A hard fold, but a fold nonetheless.
A check-raise on the river after the way the hand played out like it did means he has the flush imo, no one bluffs rivers by check-raising (if he wanted to bluff the river he woulda just led out himself). Also a set isnt check-raising that turn, neither is a straight. Also if he had either he woulda led out on the river instead. Id expect him to have AX of diamonds here for the nut flush.

I would say he has flush here like 98% of the time. The other 2% accounts for misclicks and random min raise river bluffs.

Also I would lead out for a bit less on the river. $6 looks good.

This was one of the 2%. lol.

He showed down JTo. The reasons I called were:
a) he was so loose I couldn't rule out he had a set, or even QJ
b) I don't know where my fold button is at the moment.

HA!!! Wussies.

I've only ever run into 1 person who check/raised the flush on the river after the hand had been checked all the way down.
