Default 6 max BB hand

Thoughts on this one please.

6 max NL $0.05/$0.10

seat 1 $2.83
seat 2 $47.00
seat 3 $20.45
Villian $8.01 (SB)
Hero $37.40 (BB)

Dealt to Hero:

seat 1 calls 10c, seat 2 calls 10c, seat 3 calls 10c, Villian completes, Hero checks.

FLOP:

Villian bets 50c
Hero raises to $8.23
Everyone else folds, Villian calls.

I had just taken one buyin from him 5 minutes prior to this hand and wanted to isolate him in the pot, hopefully with a flush draw or a pocket pair of somesort. Plus if anyone else calls then I know im most likely behind, I suspected that he might call with a hand such as KQs, thinking that I dont have the ace.

I dont like my kicker but am assured I wont get a call from the other players 80% of the time here.

This seems like danger zone to me. I dont think I would push to a raise here.

You're not laying this down if you were 3-bet all in at this table, so there's no value in pushing. Make a normal raise to 2.25-3.00 and push the turn to a non-spade. Raising the flop and checking behind on the turn is another option and you can evaluate the river. It'd really depend on the opponent, but pushing doesn't get called by Villian as much by hands you beat when you shove the flop.

this bet sizes lets him play perfectly against you basically, only call you when he has you beat.

Give free cards on boards like this to induce bluffs, or get value from mid pairs and such.

Good points because we have position on this bettor, but in the moment, 3 people are left to act. Just calling the flop wishes/looking for what on the turn? We're not folding much and we're on the call when that card flips.

Out of position, I don't mind making bets with the "to win the pot right now" approach in a manner that is on the lowest end of the risk side as possible.

on the flop: pop it up to 3-4 times ($1.50-$2) the villians bet and take it from there.

pushing all in like that is a bad play. you allow everyone to play perfect poker like that. Your only going to get called if ur behind by doing that, so its a sure way to lose money.
