Default Folding an Overpair (Its Never Easy)

100 hands on the villain and so far he seems like a fairly tight, solid player. I checked the turn in an effort to control the pot size it put me in a tough spot on the river.

I have to fold there, right?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed)

UTG+1 ($119.65)
MP1 ($95.50)
MP2 ($122)
Hero ($44.20)
CO ($128.15)
Button ($99.50)
SB ($112.45)
BB ($60)
UTG ($64)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with , .
4 folds, Hero raises to $3, 2 folds, SB calls $2.50, BB calls $2.

Flop: ($9) , , (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $6, SB calls $6, BB folds.

Turn: ($21) (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($21) (2 players)
SB bets $36, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $57

Results in white below:
SB doesn't show.
Outcome: SB wins $57.

Open-raise to at least $4 PF on Stars.

The flop is good and whether I check the turn or not depends on the opponent. It'd be harder to fold Aces here because a bluff from KQ is so unlikely.

The overbet's ridiculous. He wouldn't bet so large with 99/88/AT unless he knew you could fold QQ, but it still doesn't make sense. AK/AJ/KJ/JT and you don't have the odds, if you claim to "know" he's bluffing because you have to have him beat 55-60% and I don't see that as the case. Has he done this before? You have to weight that in as to whether this is profitable or not.

No postflop read, I fold, but I wouldn't say he's solid because you played this like you weren't calling an overbet on the river. Calling's break even at best without that read.

ez river fold, overbets like that usually want calls

good turn check, i imagine you were planning on calling a reasonable river bet on a safe card, but this ridiculous one.

well played imo, but raise more pf

given ur stack size, im open raising this to 6$.
flop is standard, although i probably bet slightly harder.
turn check behind is good.
river overbet usually means good hand, so the fold is correct there. If he bets potsize or anything under it, im instacalling cuz both straight draws missed.
