6 handed I raise this PF. You probably have the best hand but definitely don't want Ax coming with you to the flop.

On this flop, you have NO IDEA where you stand so raise. Raise to $2.

I am putting in a good sized raise. I am ok with taking this pot down right here. The SB can be playing ANYTHING here. If flat calls - you probablly have the best hand (he's probably got TP medicore to medium kicker). If he re-raises you then we are in quite a pickle! I think you can re-raise then all in. If he flopped the straight, then we have a quite a few outs (1 8 - 3 10's - 3 7's - 3 of whatever the turn is). If he has two pair and calls then we do a little dance.

If he has a bigger set - so be it. I'll stack off to a higher set in this situation every time.

i havent read what u did, but read the responses, i agree with wota, but id like to call to induce more chips ? because if he comes over the top you fold immeditaly, but if the board pairs and he has a straight on the flop you get paid immensly....

just a theory...

You played it well then, IMO. No reason why you want to call here and see a J or 6 land.
