Default PF: Good Raise?

No real read on the villain but I figured an overbet from EP probably meant AK.

MP1's got no money behind him. I'll gamble with him. No one who has you beat is gonna cold-call on the button or in the blinds. For this reason, raising to $4 isn't bad and you're calling anything from MP1. You're ahead of his range here. You only have to win 1 out of 3 all ins against him to bust him.

i dont like the play.. theres no need to gamble here.. you have nothing invested.. i'd prefer folding over anything else (and in a situation like this i'd fold without thinking twice).. u can do better then 50/50 in a cash game, and at best u are 50/50 here.

also.. huge pf raises usually mean QQ+.. even if he has AK or maybe even AQ hes probably not one to be folding his hand here on the ss to a re-raise.. so i have to disagree with you here Alex... your not ahead of his range..

yeah, i agree with making it a smaller raise ($4 to $5), because if MP1 has anything he is pushing anyway to that raise, and you may save yourself a bit of money if a big stack decided to go over the top and now i realize alex just said all of this in a previous post.

I actually agree with Eclipse, which is rare.

But I misread the hand and thought it was a .25/.50 game. Just checked the time I posted. It was 4:20. That's a good time at the office. I call everyone into my office and we "celebrate."

Easy fold. If he's doing this with worse, you'll have no problems busting him when he limps weak or when you have you a monster and he can't lay down.
