Default 3.5 to 1 = Justified Call?

Of course he berated me after. I told him that he shouldn't be blaming me, he should blame the BB. He folds, I fold.

MP1 ($40.55)
MP2 ($20)
CO ($24.65)
Hero ($24.95)
SB ($7)
BB ($7)
UTG ($11.65)

Preflop: Hero is Button with , . MP2 posts a blind of $0.25.
2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 (poster) checks, CO calls $0.25, Hero raises to $0.5, SB raises to $2, BB calls $1.75, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO folds, Hero calls $1.50.

Flop: ($6.75) , , (3 players)
SB bets $5 (All-In), BB folds, Hero calls $5.

Turn: ($16.75) (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($16.75) (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $16.75

Results in white below:

I actually think you have to fold it, it's probably very marginal at best.

The more I think about it, the more I think you're right.
While the expressed odds are good (3.5 to 1) the implied odds are not. If I'm able to get both players all in, which the chances of happening are pretty slim, then I'm only getting 10 to 1 odds (expressed + implied odds.)

Not too mention your stack is 3x theirs so your implied odds are even lower.

Well when I was calculating implied odds, I was figuring that I was calling $1.50 for a chance to win $15.25.
(Mind you I didn't calculate the implied odds until after the hand......stupid me.)

I don't like your raise. Min raise with 3 limpers? I also think the call was a stretch.

I loooooove this raise and have just recently added it to my aresenal after having read NLHETP. It's a pot sweetner. It's like playing the $0.50 table for 1 hand. I like to do it when a couple of people have limped in and I've got a hand that could connect in a big way (suited connectors, small pocket pairs, etc.)

I don't mind the raise either. You hit a straight, you have a monster hand, it is well disguised and people will pay you off especially if they make TPTK. The flush would still be a huge hand, but people tend to slow down when there is 3 to a flush on a board.

I don t think you can call the reraise, for the reasons mentioned above. I think you got really lucky this hand. Even if people have big stacks, I am not sure that they would pay you off enough to make this call profitable.

Does he really tell you to do that? Sweetening the pot with the worst hand PF seems to be a serious mistake.
