AleaMarie: -- --
losingall: -- --
MTdemocrat: 3c 3h
beeger: -- --
mjsanche: -- --

Pre-flop:

Dark_Kitiara raises to $.20. Bold Strategy folds.
AleaMarie calls. losingall folds. MTdemocrat calls.
beeger calls. mjsanche folds. byrophyte calls.
kman333 folds.

Flop (board: 3d 8s Kd):

byrophyte checks. Dark_Kitiara bets $.25. AleaMarie
calls. MTdemocrat raises to $.75. beeger folds.
byrophyte folds. Dark_Kitiara calls. AleaMarie
folds.

WOO! I top bottom set, I put one of them on AK. I put in a small raise (3/4 pot) to build a nice sized pot, if people are going to chase their flush, or even fall in love with their TPTK.

Turn (board: 3d 8s Kd Qd):

Dark_Kitiara checks. MTdemocrat checks.

SCARE card. I start playing like a bitch. Should I have led out to take it down if he doesn't have it or find out if he has it?

River (board: 3d 8s Kd Qd 5c):

Dark_Kitiara checks. MTdemocrat checks.

I continue to play like a bitch.

Showdown:

Dark_Kitiara shows Ks Ad.
Dark_Kitiara has Ks Ad 8s Kd Qd: a pair of kings.
MTdemocrat shows 3c 3h.
MTdemocrat has 3c 3h 3d Kd Qd: three threes.

Hand #34296600-14986 Summary:

$.10 is raked from a pot of $2.85.
MTdemocrat wins $2.75 with three threes.

And my orignal read is right. A weak tight play?

Yeah, this is weak tight. The good thing is that you already know it.

Raise to $1 or more on the flop is my suggestion. If one of them has AK and the other one a flushdraw they will call.

Definitely bet the turn when you're checked to. If he's got AdKx or just AdXx you don't want to give away a free card.

On the river it's really bad to just check behind. What would he check on two consecutive streets that actually beats you? This was a clear value bet.

I like an overbet on the flop with a King or Ace out there. Overwise, I'd say to raise to $0.85, but in this case, I say raise it up to $1.25 and bet $2 on the turn. I don't mind checking the river after getting called on the turn for $2..

In your case, I'd bet $1.25 on the turn and river. This is good value, IMO. I'm not saying that you're not against a flush if you raise to $1.25 on the flop. Any flush draw is gonna call up to $1.75, maybe $2, on the flop, but you're gonna lose a lot of kings here that you want in the hand. Any Ace-hi flush draw is gonna call all in no matter what's in the pot to as much as all-in as will AK and KQ.

just what I wanted to here.

Looking over this hand, I think I may have found a major pyschological factor to my game.

During this session, I kept getting sets on the flop. They would always have 2 to a flush on the board, so I was leading out to at least make a FD pay. Everyone would always fold. Here once, I lead out and got a caller and then the FD hit, my brain went nuts, so I went into WT mode. I need to merely, keep up the betting to find out where he actually is. I could have had a big pay day had I not played like a little school girl.
