Thumbs down overplayed KK

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
10 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $58.37
UTG+1: $41.30
UTG+2: $25.69
MP1: $25
MP2: $14.15
MP3: $23.25
CO: $19.10
Button: $32.40
SB: $26.90
Hero: $21.90

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is BB with
UTG calls, 7 folds, SB calls, Hero raises to $0.75, UTG calls, SB folds.

Flop: ($1.75, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.5, UTG raises to $3, Hero calls.

Turn: ($7.75, 2 players)
Hero bets $7, UTG calls.

River: ($21.75, 2 players)
Hero is all-in $11.15, UTG calls.

Results:
Final pot: $44.05

I think my big errors were:
1- pre flop bet was too small
2- should have checked the turn after he showed strength on the flop
3- should have checked/folded the river

what do you think?

Raise to $1-$1.50 PF.

Bet pot on the flop and check/call after the diamond. If he has a hand that beats you, he'll be afraid to not get action by betting small and he'll do the same or check it down when he can't beat you.

Well I would say raise it 1.25 PF.

pot the flop and reraise all in if he raise your bet

You beat lots of hands that raise the flop here: flush draws + 2 overs, Str8 draws + 2 overs, TT-JJ-QQ etc etc.

However I doubt TT JJ QQ play it that way preflop.

Yeah. I'll push that flop to a raise. You'll get enough calls from random 9's and TT to make up for the sets.

pf bet is way too small. raise harder. raise anywhere from $1.50- $21.90. Ideally u wanna raise to at least 1/10th ur stack so that u can kill the implied odds for anyone to call with a lower pp. Ideally u wanna raise something like $3-4. Then check-push the flop.

I typically raise to $1, i was afraid I wasnt gonna get any action if I raised too much on this hand with all the folds to me. My only problem with a push on the flop is that it is often an instacall for donkeys with four to a flush at this level, and I am giving my stack away to people that flopped sets, but you are right that I will get called down by people with A9o, TT and JJ. Thanks for the input.

More people can't play poker.

Most people never fold to raises after they limp.

Most people that do both are scared of getting called on the flop/turn/river and scared of not getting called preflop.

Most people can't play poker.

You'll be amazed at people's retardation. Use it against them as much as you can especially in these micro/lo stakes games. You'll get action here. When you don't, the times you do make up for it and much more. The more you bet with the best hand, the more times you can afford to not get action.

This is not to offend OP in anyway but I just don't get why people try incite action and are afriad of losing action and then dont play the big PPs like they should. Playing weak like that only opens yourself up to be sucked out on and then we get all those damn river rats posts.

If you get AA, KK, QQ...play it like it is actually strong! Raise that shit up 5 or 6 times the BB...you will still get called!
