Default PokerForums.org 2nd Tourney Results

PokerForums.org held it's second tournament on May 16th 2004. A total of 9 players attended the tournament, half of which had also attended the first tournament.

Notable tournament attendees included t_perkin 2+2, Johnsears, and gijoy, who happened to place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in our first tournament respectively.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/1.jpg - Let the chasing begin!

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/2.jpg - FrinkX receives an early present.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/3.jpg - Vense gets taken out to lunch, and has to pay for it himself.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/4.jpg - 2 down, 6 to go. NoManner takes the lead.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/5.jpg - NoManner wins himself a decent sized pot, to further his lead.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/6.jpg - Standings after 14 minutes.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/7.jpg - Rekrul loses to NoManner. This is the second time that Rekrul has done poorly in a PF tournament.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/8.jpg - Swingy managing find a way to survive.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/9.jpg - NoManner with a huge lead up top.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/10.jpg - 13 minutes later.. NoManner still up top. NoManner was playing very tight, hoping others would die.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/11.jpg - A swing and a miss.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/12.jpg - Travis taking a large chunk from NoManner. This foreshadows the not-to-distant future.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/13.jpg - Swingy again managing to stay alive.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/14.jpg - Rocky rights on.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/15.jpg - KK beats AA (preflop all-in)

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/16.jpg - Meat's first river win of the night. It is not the only one

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/17.jpg - After one hour of playing, Travis manages to climb above NoManner's stack.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/18.jpg - Frink was not too happy about this. Meat rivers Frink again.

Here I'd like to note that Meat, Travis, and perkins had all been in the final three in the first tournament. The fact that these 3 are in the final 4 helps proove the point that poker is not all luck, or even mostly luck. As a line from Rounders states "How come the exact same people keep ending up at the final table at the WSOP?"

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/19.jpg - NoManner takes out enemy 2+2er and receives nice compensation for doing so.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/20.jpg - Chip count after an hour and 12 minutes.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/21.jpg - NoManner giving Meat a taste of his own medicine.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/22.jpg - I'd like you all to note the chip differences here. A few hands later, Travis is down to something like 600. Also note how low the blinds are, making a comeback infinitely more difficult for travis. Can he do it?

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/23.jpg - Huge pot for Travis.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/24.jpg - After a bit of tug of war, Travis earning another large pot.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/25.jpg - NoManner has incredibly gone down to 1.8k in chips.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/26.jpg - The final blow, and it's over.

http://www.pokerforums.org/images/tourney2/27.jpg - GG. Congratulations Travis for winning the second PokerForums.org tournament.

How about the QQ versus 79o? Or did you go allin after seeing the river? I went afk and it was all done.

Oh and I wasn't only talking about your heads up, travis. I mean the 1on1 all ins like the AA versus KK.
