I don't understand how this ladder system is fair.

Let me get this straight... if I get challenged ten times, and beat all ten challengers, I'll still be in sixteenth place? But every time I play one of them, I'm risking my spot above them on the ladder?

What's my motivation to accept challenges then? Wouldn't I want to just always say no, and look for someone else to challenge instead?

i thought you had to accept a challenge.

all three people above me currently have pending challenges, making them invulnerable to people like me from below and leaving me open for marm to challenge me again when he feels like it. yes i'm whining.

You HAVE to accept a challenge?

Wow, okay then... this ladder has some serious flaws.

Nah, its designed to get players to play each other. The more frequently you play, the quicker you rise, assuming you win. the better players tend to rise to the top in a little while.

The system thats Starcraft and other games use, thing like Battlenet and such, work for them because there are always opponents to play, and your ranking there is based on how you play overall.

But how often were HU matches being played here? rarely. This system encourages play, otherwise, there would be a small handfull of players sitting on the top because they were constantly playing each other.

Now, hearing these complaints, I will propose a refusal rule, seperate thread though.

And how long do I have have to wait for an acceptance? That is a good one too, if not answered in x-days, can I pull the offer?

in the rules... if it is not answered in 7days, they forfeit and you win. Same deal with after they accept.
