Williams, Raymer, and Harrington WSOP accomplishments
If Williams wins the 2005 main event, Raymer comes in second, and Harrington third. Which player has accomplished the most in the past three years. I'm interested to hear the discussion on this

That's a pretty easy question...Harrington with 3 FT's in 3 years would have been simply amazing.

I gotta vote for Harrington in the scenario described, but since hes out already.....
I think ESPN is creaming their pants right now as Raymer is the CL. I think Raymer making back to back finals is a HUGE accomplishment these past 2 years. But harrington doing it over 3 years with vastly different events each time is a testament to his all around skill.
But If raymer wins back to back (which is very possible right now), thats a bigger accomplishment than Doyles, Chans, or Ungar B2B's.

like marm said, three final tables is phenomenal, especially given how much the game has changed since harrington won it in 1995.
if williams won this year and raymer took second, that would beat raymer's win and second solely based on the number of entrants this year vs. last.

Harrington and Williams would be the biggest deals, since they already busted out.

I picked Raymer with a 1st and 2nd.
Harrington getting to 3 final tables is impressive just like the Bills 4 straight superbowl appearances, unfortuneately if he doesn't win 1 out of those 3 times it is not as big a deal in my book.
Plus Raymer or williams making the final table this year (which is predetermined in this poll) means they can ALSO attempt Harringtons feat the following year.

I'm going with it's a bigger deal if Raymer even gets to the final table then either. I'm not sure about Williams, but I believe that moneymaker (bleh) and Raymer getting their start on Online poker has done a lot for the popularity of the sport. At that point it left the realm of magic and became something everybody can dream of...sort of like winning the lottery. If Raymer gets b2b FTs (not even mentioning wins) then I think that will go further to popularize the sport then anything else. The more popular it is, the more fish to be caught...
