For anyone who does not know, Doyle Brunson is is serious contention for a 10th WSOP bracelet. He is currently the chip leader with 3 people left in the $5000 NL holdem Shorthanded (6 people) event.

Scotty Nguyen has just been knocked out. It's down to heads up between Doyle and Minh Ly, with Doyle in a commanding chip lead...

Log: Hand 157 - Minh Ly has the button, he limps, Brunson moves all in, and Ly immediately calls. Brunson shows 10c-3d, and Ly has Ks-Qd. The flop comes 9s-8d-3h, and Brunson takes the lead with a pair, and Ly needs a queen, a king, or something runner-runner to stay alive. The turn card is the 4h, and Ly is down to six outs. The river card is the 5c, and Minh Ly is eliminated in second place, earning $203,715.

Doyle Brunson wins Event #29 ($5,000 Short-Handed No-Limit Hold'em), earning $367,800 and his record-tying tenth World Series of Poker bracelet.

Kind of funny, wins this one with 10-3 offsuit...

Regardless, Doyle is the ultimate player, and congrats to him on winning #10

He's tightening up his card selection as the competion is getting tougher.. the kicker is very important in 10x os and his opponent probably had him on 10 2 os at this point...

Unfortunatley after his 10th bracelet he jumped up in the air, came down and broke 16 bones in his body.

Todd Brunson won a bracelet this year too. First year a father and son both won bracelets.

Phil ivey picked up #5(i believe) and johnny chan won his 10th bracelet as well this year...

so far it has been a good year for "the pros"

Good for him. He's always seemed liek a great guy too ^^. Short-handed NLHE, sounds liek Doyle's bes game?
