Hello All
For a long time I have been wanting to start playing for a living. I do not play online only in person in Atlantic City. I have a full time job so thought I would start off a few days a week to see how it goes. Here is my question. While I am not rich I do have a nice starting bank. What is a good table to start at?
I have played everything from 1-2 no limit to 2-4 limit hold em. How do I decide what is a good table limit to begin at in order to get a good feel if I have what it takes? Do I just stick to tournaments? I would like to think starting out playing tables over tournaments would be the best way to go?
Any advice you can give for someone about to take a part time leap LMK
thanks for your time and insight.

From what I gather reading about poker pro's, good poker players make on average one or two big bets per hour. How much do you have to make to consider it a good living?

I'd start out with whatever you feel comfortable with and just take it more seriously. Study the game, try to put in some decent hours and move up when you have a good bankroll. I advise having at least 20 buy-ins to work with. Good luck.

2 BB is a bit low I think, it just depends on the stake you are at.
If you are a pro or wanting to become a pro I would suggest taking a bit more BI for your BRM. I think live-games are easy to defeat at the 200NL games, at least in my country

First get a decent sample of the games your playing, then you will easily be able to work out how much you can make per hour as it can vary greatly from player to player.
If your a decent player you should be able to make close to $50k a year at $1-$2 if you put in the time
