Wink Turbo Lover!

Took 16th in the UB 1020 last night (now a Turbo event).

If you remember I also had a 16th in the standard 1020 last Saturday!

Man, it was a fun game. A lot of Power Poker plays, since the blinds go up so fast.

The game got off to a bad start:

TTdayJR is at seat 1 with 2745.
Monroepics is at seat 2 with 1880.
Cristach is at seat 3 with 1330.
Gator54 is at seat 4 with 1860.
Shyr59 is at seat 5 with 1215.
snowfish is at seat 6 with 1460.
beavis68 is at seat 7 with 1710.
captbear is at seat 8 with 1215.
ceronomas is at seat 9 with 1585.
The button is at seat 8.

ceronomas posts the small blind of 15.
TTdayJR posts the big blind of 30.

beavis68:

Pre-flop:

UTG limps, next player min raises, one fold. another call and a fold to me.. beavis68 call, the BB and UTG call

Flop (board: ): 315 in the pot/

BB check Monroepics (UTG) pots it pre-flop raiser folds. Shyr59 calls. beavis68 goes all-in for 1650 (I figure the pot is big enough) BB folds Monroepics goes all-in for 1820. Shyr59 goes all-in for 1155. Monroepics is returned 170 (uncalled).

Tournament all-in showdown -- players show:

Monroepics shows .
Shyr59 shows .
beavis68 shows 6s 6d.

Turn (board: ):

River (board: ):

Now I am down to 990.

Had quite a few good pushes that lead to exciting races.

Like vs on a flop of which I ended up taking down with a flush.

Players were dropping so fast on the end that there wasn't even a hand for hand on the bubble, we probably went through the first level of payouts within just a few hands.

With about 61 players left, I get KK and raise a big stack all-in pre-flop. He calls me with JTo???

This put me 3rd in chips 61 left. 73k in chips with blinds of 2k/4k, no time to rest.

I start taking on the short stacks and bust QQ with AQ. And with 31 players I am 2nd in chips with 124k but blinds of 4k/8k and an 800 chip ante.

16 left to go, I have about 112k and blinds are 8k/16k ante 1.6k so 36k in the pot.

UTG+1 moves all-in for 90k. It folds to me, with AKo in the CO, i re-raise to isolate. The button folds, the BB goes all-in wor 120k.

SS has JJ, sb has 88, Q 8 4 and I am dead to running Js and Ts.

A 4 on the turn seals my fate.

It was a great game, Marm was sweating me. I told him I would be happy no matter where I finished going into the final 30 players because I had played well and had great luck when I needed it (except this hand). It was a fun and wild ride.

I probably coud have folded this hand and made the final table, but I would have been seriously short stacked.

I'd congratulate you, but I thought that this would have something to do with Rob Halford in a poker tournament. I'm disappointed, Beav. You got my hopes up and everything.
