I also agree with you wota. I don't really think phil picks up alot of tells, I just think he plays tight and waits for his opponots mistake.

He does have 11 bracelets. Regardless of what anyone thinks. That can't be fucked with.
But not in Heads-Up?

In order to win online at high stakes, you have to play godlike. Dont forget the rake and other things (UB/AP scandal) that would turn even a great player into a losing one.

not sure what your point is..
but in order to win his bracelets he had to go to a final table, which eventually turned into a heads up match. which he inturn won.

i never disagreed that durr was a better online player.

whos better online phil ivey or durr?

He didn't have to play vs durr though

The big events are full of donkeys, some say the Stars $100R is a lot harder.

So the point is, he won 11 bracelets because his opponents weren't that strong.

If anyone tries to claim Hellmuth isn't one of the best NLHE tourney players ev4r they're an eejit, the man's record speaks for itself.

He did win the heads-up championship twice previously too.

Sure he's great, but given the enormous amount of hands some newcomers, possibly starting poker underaged, play I don't think he can compete with that in the long run.

Poker is going to get tougher every year as the game is better understood. Just ask the older players here how it was like 5 years ago.
