    Default PFO/VGC Winter Poker Series

Instead of waiting for someone else to set up a PFO tourny, I decided to do it myself.
Since i do not have the amount of points it takes to set up private tournaments on Pokerstars,
I set it up on Full Tilt.

    Disclaimer:
    * I DO NOT HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH FULL TILT POKER other than a user acct
    * I DO NOT HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH POKERFORUMS.ORG other than a member acct
    * I AM NOT MAKING A PROFIT BY SETTING UP THIS TOURNAMENT except by maybe winning one or two

Since I have no authority in naming the tournament the PFO Series, I will be referring to the series
as the Vic Grozny Classic or VGC. If'n anyone has any doubts as to why it should be named the VGC,
i would like to refer them to these threads regarding standings.
    PFO Spring Series Standings
    PFO Winter Series Standings

The VGC will take place Fri 11JAN08 - Mon 14JAN08 with the Tournament of Champions the following Sat 19JAN08.

All Times are Full Tilt Server Time (EST)
Entry and Fee- Entry is what is put in the prize pool. Full Tilt Poker collects a 10% fee on entries (just like their regular tourny fees).

    Tentative Schedule-

    * Event #8 was to be the Heads Up match. FTP does not offer a true heads up shoot out tournament. until they do, the event is replaced with a No Limit Hold'em event.

    VGC Series Points Formula

    [(# of entrants)(entry * .10)- (placing)+ (2,4, or 10 for top 3)]

    - You can only get points if you cash.
    example-
25 people play an $10 NLHE that pays out 4 spots

    Plyr1- {[(25)(10 * .1)]-(1)+(10)}= 34 pts.
    Plyr2- {[(25)(10 * .1)]-(2)+(4)}= 27 pts.
    Plyr3- {[(25)(10 *.1)]-(3)+(2)}= 24 pts.
    Plyr4- {[(25)(10 * .1)]-(4)}= 21 pts.

VGC Series Winner- The person with the most points on the VGC Leader Board at the end of the Main Event will receive 60% of the PasswordMoney.

To play in the VGC Series you will need to purchase a password for $5. You will receive a password for all events except the Tournament of Champions.
If you just want to play in the VGC Main Event, you may purchase a ME Password for $3.

The top 8 players on the VGC Leader Board at the end of the Main Event and the Main Event Winner will receive an invitation and a password to play in the Tournament of Champions.
If the Main Event Winner is one of the top 8 players on the leader board, a ninth invitation will be presented to the 9th place player on the leader board.
The Tournament of Champions event #12 will be a winner take all along with 40% of the PasswordMoney.

All monies collected for passwords will go into prize pool - PasswordMoney
Payout of PasswordMoney will be: 60% to the VGC Series Winner, 40% to be added to the Tournament of Champions prize pool.

I will keep an open book on a PFO thread for accounting.
I will keep and maintain a VGC Series Leader Board thread on the PFO boards.

With the trust of the internet and people trusting other people with money-

*I will collect money for this tournament.
*I will ask the moderators to help by choosing a mod. One who is trusted with money, who has the time, and a FTP acct.
*I will deposit $75 with the mod as a guarantee to the money collected. This money is to hold until all PasswordMoney is paid out. Once the PasswordMoney is paid out, the mod will return my deposit.

I will give info on how to enter once i get everything hammered out with the mods.

If there is anything I have left out that needs to be addressed, or you have questions, feel free to express them here.

I look forward to playing against you.
    Sincerely,
    Victorious Grozny

So I'm guessing Alex rolled with the previous tournament of champions prize pool.

Lets all go to his house and kick his ass until he gives it back

i would imagine something like that. either way, this tourny will be 100% payout on password money. there won't be any holding money until next tourny.

I may actually play this time. Guess I better learn Razz, Stud, Omaha and HORSE first...
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.
