Hellmuth is sick. But congrats to the guy, even if you hate him he's the best NLHE tourney player around by far imo.
Debatable. As Orion points out, look how many of the dam events he's played. Law of averages he will win more than alot of others. He is obviously good to win this many, he just doesn't have to be the best or even one of the top 10.

True, but right now the way to judge is by results on the big stage. Hellmuth is delivering the results (and got another FT the other day), so imo that puts him way ahead of anyone else.

Given a few years though there are a few that could take over, Ivey and Cunningham to name a couple.

He tilts BADLY. If he gets unlucky more than a couple times in a row, he is GONE. Least, that's what I've seen. I haven't been able to watch a lot of poker recently, though.

Also, the last time I saw him, he seemed to be very concerned about his cards, as opposed to his opponent's. Granted, it was a first day, but those guys were playing decently enough that he could have gotten a lot of good reads on them.

One last thing: He shows up late. Aside from being bad manners, this is arrogance and idiocy itself. The reasons are obvious.

First of all, what does this mean?

Second, I agree about Hellmuth being a prick, but the man is very good at poker. I am currently reading his book, and while it is full of arrogance it is the best (most useful) poker book I have read.

That's his biggest problem, right there. He can't get over himself. If he ends up losing too many of his chips, he blames it all on luck and ends up with a "Screw it" attitude. He's going to end up going into perma-tilt one of these days.

I've been tracking Event #38 all day because I own 10% of Shane Stacey's action.

$30k would be nice.

He finished 15th. So I made a few hundred bucks.

He really wanted that bracelet, though. My heart just feel to my gut.
