Default "The Grand Old Man of the Game"

No its not Doyle or Slim....its Moss

Sounds like a cool old bugger:
Moss was the original, a cold-as-steel, tough-as-nails old-school gambler who never flinched under pressure, whether it was from a big pot or a gun barrel at his temple. He carried a weapon himself at all times, using it on more than one occasion while following the Texan trail from one poker game to the next.

there's a great chapter on moss in the book Fast Company, which is probably the best book written on the gambler mindset ever.

I kind of tried reading it and found it pretty boring, will dig it out tomorrow on your say-so.

I like the book, because it tells both sides of the story. The authors "flair" is a little over the top but I can get by that, sort of an F. Scott Fitzgerald writing style in the 70s.
