Default Big Buy In Tournies/Small Bankrolls.

Anyone here with a small-medium BR play a lot of satellites in to bigger tournaments?

I wanna play some bigger high dollar tournaments regularly but dont want to put out the money.

What is some of the experienced players opinions on this. Part of me thinks it may be better to buy in directly because in order to win cash you have to cash in the satellite so lightning has to strike twice.

Then I think it isnt really lightning. Just need to play solid in 2 tourneys and if I cash in the second one even right beyond the bubble I still come out very ahead.

    Thoughts, comments, suggestions.

I am not a great tourney player or great player by any means, however I do play quite a few satellites to the bigger tournies looking for that big payday to boost my bankroll.

I will be honest sometimes I get the feeling that I should buy in directly, but that would totally kill my bankroll should I bust out before getting into the money.

What I try to do is pick a qualifier that allows multiple spots or tickets to the event I am looking to get into, rebuys are always great because they will offer the most seats hands down, if you can stomach turbos and dont mind in some cases a huge luck factor then they are the quickest and usually have the most seats to qualify, the standard tournies have multiple seats as well but I have found they qualify fewer spots.

The great things in these is you dont need to be 1st you just need to be in one of the tops spots so it take some pressure off, then once your in to the main event you can focus on that first place.

It always seems more gratifying to get in via a qualifier for cheap and make a big score in the main event.

Case in point last week in the sunday million I got in via an $11 rebuy and makde over $1800.

    Hope that helps
