Default Interesting WSOP numbers....

When Chris Moneymaker won the WSOP in '03 there was I think 892 total entrants.. This year so far, Pokerstars ALONE is sending over 1300 entrants to the WSOP main event!!!

That is over 13 MILLION DOLLARS in buy-ins to the WSOP from Pokerstars alone!

they wont have to cap anything... they just run the first flight one day ex : 6000 people and the second the next day the other 6000 (if 12000 showed up or whatever) all it would do is make the tournament last longer but you can only expect that ....

I thought I had heard some months ago that it was going to be capped at like 8500.

well you see they are playing at a casino, and all casinos care about is taking your money in the easiet way possible. the rio gets a rake from everyones buy-in and im positive they wont turn down anyones money if too many people show up, there are easy ways to get around this and still have a successfull tournament.

There´ve been all sorts of rumours going around. Once they promised to cap the event at 8000 people, then the number of people allowed went up to 9000, then they decided not to cap it at all.
Anyways, the official number of entrants was 8773. 87 mil in buy-ins, right?
