Indian Poker Players Can Win Big Money In First Quarter Of 2019
Indian poker players can win crores of rupees by taking part in poker tournaments designed exclusively for them during the first quarter of 2019. Spartan Poker, a top online poker platform in India, has announced the launch of the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) while PokerBaazi has announced the details of the country’s largest online poker tournament called the Game Changer.
IOPC Guarantees 8.5 Crore Prize Pool
The Jan 2019 edition of the IOPC is all set to become the biggest edition in its history as its prize pool has increased from 7 crore rupees to 8.5 crore rupees. All the top online poker players from India are expected to participate in the event, which will last for 10 days running from Jan 11 to 20. The IOPC will also attract a strong field of amateur poker players as there is a total of 55 poker events scheduled which offers something for everyone.
The most exciting events of the IOPC are going to be The Millionaire and The Main Event. If players finish in the money in these events, they will find themselves dancing all the way to the bank. In addition, there is a leader board, which offers prizes worth `30 lakhs. Participants of the IOPC stand the chance of winning a Skoda Octavia.
Amin Rozani, the MD and co-founder of Spartan Poker, said that Spartan Poker has grabbed a lot of attention from poker players from different parts of the country in recent times. This has encouraged the company to design a special tournament series to encourage poker players in India.
Spartan Poker is an Indian online poker room that offers plenty of poker tournaments and cash games throughout the year. It was established in March 2015 by a team of professional poker players such as Bal Krishan Agarwal, Rajat Agarwal, Rajeev Kanjani, Amin Rozani, Peter Abraham, and Sameer Rattonsey.
The India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) began as the India Poker Championship and was the brainchild of PokerGuru, a popular Indian online poker site, which had run two edition of its PokerGuru Online League (PGOL) on Spartan Poker. The online poker room also runs other popular poker tournaments such as the Spartan Super Series, The Gutshot and The Millionaire.
PokerBaazi’s Game Changer
Indian online poker players will find themselves busy as they have another high profile tournament to participate in. Players can take part in PokerBaazi’s Game Changer tournament which is scheduled to take place between Feb 20 – 24.
The event has a buy-in of 11,000 rupees out of which 10,000 rupees will be contributed to the prize pool and 1000 rupees will be retained as tournament fees. The event will have a guaranteed prize pool of 2 crore rupees and the champion will receive a prize of 50 lakhs.
