I need help!!! I was a loyal pokerstars player for many years, and recently my account was frozen with over 5k in it. Their customer service never responds, but I may have an idea why. Since US government banned the online gambling, it became quite impossible to play online. With that said, the existing online poker gambling giants should restrict registration for US players! How come this is still in the air? I recently tried registering a new account to pokerstars, and was able to proceed to the gaming room without a single problem!! If that's the case, who gave them the right to freeze my account??? I'm extremely frustrated at this point. Hope someone may share a thought or two with me...

As a Canadian I don't have the U.S. issue with Pokerstars but never trusted them. Thanks for confirming to me that they aren't to be trusted.

I have had no problems with Pokerstars, and have been playing there almost every day for the past month. After Black Friday, my US account was not permitted to play any games (no sure about play money), but I was able to cash out and i did so, receiving a bank wire within a week. I have since sent in new information to verify that I am staying outside of the USA, and have been given full access to the tables again. I recently sent an email inquiring about cashouts, and I got a response within a few hours.
Full Tilt Poker, however, has disapeared a five figure account of mine, has yet to make ANY announcement to me about them being shut down or of returning my funds, and yet its owners can be seen happilly gambling away at casinos.
My guess is you did something bad that you either didn't realize or didn't mention, and that is why you got locked out.

My suggestion is, you can also check out their website and see if there are contact numbers or email that you want to tell regarding your lockout problem
What states in US are approved to play real money poker?

Nowhere in the states has approved online gambling, and those that have are still "working out the details"

Yup.. Still can play online though. I'd recommend Bovada.. I've been grinding on there all month and doing fairly well.
