Default Determining the winner when two player hold trips

Hey guys, new to the forum.

Just wondering if somebody could tell me which player wins when the following hands are compared at the showdown:
    Player 1 - K8 KK9 2 5 - Trip kings, 8 kicker
    Player 2 - K6 KK9 2 5 - Trip kings, 6 kicker

In other words, are kickers taken into account when two players hold the same rank trips or is the pot drawn?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Al.

    Player 1 - K8
    Player 2 - K6

    The Board = K K 9 2 5

    Player one has K K K 9 8
    Player two has K K K 9 6

Its always the best 5 cards wins from the seven cards given, weather playing from your own hand or the board.

Therefore player one wins, hope that helps!

    Also welcome to the board!
