    Question new to poker question about wsop

    Hey all I am new to poker and learning. I do have a question I watched the world series of poker today is the actual chip count represent real money? if so or if not how dose that work ( ie.. do you have to be loaded to play) thanks

    Yes the actual chipcount does represent money.Depending upon the Casino you are in you will be provided chips ranging from 10k to 100 and you are ready to game.

    Thats not correct ^ ^ ^

    WSOP is a tournament. Tounrament chips do not equal real money. The only time a chip is its value is when you are playing in a cash game. A tournament you are given a certain amount of chips to start with (WSOP Main Event is 30,000 starting stack) and you play until there is a winner. Usually top 10% of the field of players gets paid cash. First is like 30% of the total amount of the pot.

    Tournaments range for .01 -> infitinite amount of money you want the buy in to be. Hope this helps.

    It happens But its still wrong regardless lol Face value is cash game only not in tournament.
