Default questios about some strong hands

ok so you are in a sit and go and someone does the standard rase of x3 the blinds, you have jack king off suit. do you call out of posision or if it was in posision do you call ( sake for the likes of q10 )

usually i would fold these or dependin on if i have a read of the player i call.

usually what tends to happen is i get out kicker'd most of the time

    whats your thoughts

I like KQ KJ K10 suited but not off.

I'd call with KJo in the blinds if the raise was in late pos and blinds were worth enough to start stealing unless they were super tight.

Right here goes, I'm not going to put my whole £20 in, but i will put my 2pence...

    Like Knight said IT DEPENDS...
    it depends on many things.

    1 - players stats
    2 - players position
    3 - your position
    4 - your stack/their stack
    5 - blind level
all of these sorts of things come in to play here...

If a tight player raises 3x UTG/UTG+1 in a full ring table, and the blinds are at about 50/100, then I would fold KJ QJ Q10 J10 K10 A10 AJ KQ... pairs above 8's I would ship OTT.

I think you are exactly right in folding these hands most of time as even lags get good hands that will have you out kickered. I always play very tight and although this can be predictable I still have no trouble catching other players out with premium hands. If you call with those hands that are easily dominated and in my opinion weak you never know where you are postflop. I like I'm routed's idea about folding depending on the tightness of the player and would also add if you are raised by a lag player in late and your image is tight as long as they are not a maniac there maybe some benefit in just overraising them preflop. Although I recommend having a hand with an ace in it for this generally KQ KJ is ahead enough of the time to make it worthwhile against a lag. Against tight player always fold all of these hands you mentioned unless you want to gamble but they would need to be suited. I think there is nothing wrong with putting a raise in with these hands in late but you want to do this mostly with the idea of blind stealing and I wouldn't recommend a min raise as it attracts re raises. Also by calling where you might normally overraise with a hand like AK you are giving away info about how weak your hand is for free and more particularly about exactly what your hand is and leaving yourself open for potential c betting. I definately say 90% of time fold these all unless its cheap to see the flop in late or you feel that with a hand like KQ against laggy sorts there is some value in overraising, these hands make your decisions post flop more difficult and cost you chips.

I usually try to smooth call with TJ off suit or suited, and if there is a substantial raise, im out. It's not worth getting too much in with J high. Also depends on players, table action, stakes, blinds, etc.
