To the site at least. I guess you could say I'm a newbie to poker as well, I've been playing SS since i was 18 but just turned 21 in March. I'm getting pretty serious about poker now and I'm invested in furthering my knowledge about the game. Any advice on books or any other source of learning the game will be appreciated.

Oh man, I got so many poker tips for you. I'm a budding Pro myself, so here's some solid examples:
Websites:
ThePokerBank (free online tips and tricks of Texas Hold'Em)
Books:
I'm not gonna list all the best books, because they're just too many. But I will list the best authors with example books. So get yourself over to Amazon.com (or equivalent bookstore/site) to check them out (and look for 4-5 star books, you'll get the idea quickly):
- David Sklansky (Theory of Poker and many more, Sklansky is the #1 guy)
- Ed Miller (Professional No-Limit Hold'em and more, co-author of David Sklansky's books etc)
- Dan Harrington (Harrington on Hold'Em, Harrington on Cash Games - Dan is the #2 best author IMO, even #1 to many people)
- Doyle Brunson (Super System)
Personally, my upcoming investment is gonna be Phil Gordon's box set of his three "Little Black/Blue/Green" books. You might also find other books of Pro players useful, like Daniel Negreanu's "Wisdom for Hold'Em players" or Gus Hansen's "Every hand revealed". Just check out Amazon and decide yourself, with a discerning eye.
Hope it helps.Last edited by Khaile; 06-14-2011 at 11:00 AM.

Thank you very much, that was a very helpful bit. I've read the two books you mentioned at the end, by daniel and gus, and one by hellmuth. The thing is I discovered them on my own and, until now, haven't found a steady community of people with valid sources and insight. So thanks again, i'm eager to get to learning.
