Default Hi! Better than your average gambler

Im not really a gambler, although Ive lost my ass in Chinese stocks this year, but I prefer Wall street over putting my finances on a damn game of cards (Blackjack, Baccarat, Poker, etc.)

Atleast at the end of a bad day on wallstreet my shares still have the potential to go back up, unlike money lost at a casino.

Ok so anyways, I am a little better than the average gambler because I do look up the house edge on casino bets prior to making them at the casino. I don't really play blackjack unless I have the basic strategy card with me at the time. I play the lowest house edge table games and don't really trust the slot-machines, plus I find slapping a button constantly to be rather boring and require 0 skill at all.

Im pretty much a low roller since I don't want to put my finances on the line at the casino.

Poker, Im a bit new to, I play Texas Hold 'Em King 2 on my blackberry non-stop and I can't seem to attain any impressive amounts of money, I started with $500, got up to 200k and am not hovering around 160k after losing a bunch of it. When I get up to 5 million or so on the blackberry, I might try playing against the good players at the casino, perhaps at a low roller table.

I play my friend in Poker at my house, and often beat him, I go all in when I have a Flush or a fullhouse, and sometimes fool him into doing the same. Hes not very good, Ive beaten him on large hands (buy in is only $5 though since were both n00bs) when he had a pair of 3's, or he went all in on a pair of queens.

Im gonna learn the game before I go to the casino so I can atleast compete at the table. I personally find watching poker kinda boring on TV, but if I can get good at it, I might feel more comfortable betting a larger amount of my money on it, albeit I would be afraid to bet $100 on an all in, since that is a lot of money to me.

Just wondering what I should learn from this forum, to make me good enough that perhaps I can make a little money at the casino. Oh and Im not into online gambling, since I don't feel good about the idea of losing thousands of dollars from the comfort of my home. One of the gambling addicts on a different forum, ruined his marriage playing online poker all damn day and never giving anytime to his wife and kids, definitely don't wanna wind up like him.

Talk to experienced players an provide detailed re-enactments of hands you're played for them to analyze. Start posting often and you will learn a great deal.
