Helping to run a charity tourney, expecting about 100 players. I've done many through the FD where I'm a member, but one issue keeps coming up:
What is the most appropriate way to even out the tables when players start busting out? I have always noted the position of the player who busted out (in relation to the button), and have taken the player sitting in that same position from the table I'm moving FROM, and sat him there in the table I'm moving TO.
Last tourney I had a guy complain and say I'm supposed to take the guy from the right of the button, and put him in that spot on tne new table. The problem is this makes players at the new table have to move seats, which causes more grumbling.
What is the SOP (standard operating procedure!) for this?

That adds a few more options to the mix! I guess I have to figure out the option that is going to draw the least amount of whining...
