About LinkBacksI have been to pokerstars and have seen tournaments advertised as $5.00 buy-in nl texas hold em tournaments. Does that mean it costs 5.00$ to enter the tournament? Will I have to pay anything else? Thanks for the replies.

You have to pay the buy-in and the fee. For a $5 tourney, I believe the fee is 50 cents.

Yup usually the vig is 10% on most tournys. It's usually expressed at $5 + $.50 The $5 goes to the prize pool, and the .50 goes to the house.
