Default best sites for noobs like me?

    Wsup!

    My first post here...

I've played poker with a few buddies for a little while, nothin serious but I wanna try out some online poker

Any suggestions on a good 'safe' site for a not very experienced guy without a ton of money?

by safe i mean somewhere that I'm not gonna be ripped to pieces by pros

Just start at the micro limits until you get the hang of it , you won't have to worry about pro's playing there .

Cake is still a decent site too get started. I've never played at coolhand. It's best to not dwell too much on the site or other players when just starting online. I still like the PKR interface, but out can be distracting if you just want to play cards.

just don't expect the same results you get playing home poker, online poker is, in my opinion, very different and harder. Take your time and prepare for some bad beats, at least for the first times.

Forgot to mention , use bankroll management (it's really easy to do it in excel if play more sites) as it's your only weapon to fight variance .

Yes. Bankroll management and a good rakeback deal always helps.

These sites provide free poker gaming. When you find yourself enough trained for real money gaming then you can switch to real money gaming on theses same sites with their .COM domains as these are the real money game provider domains.
Well I think you can just register directly from the Pokerstars.com and Fulltiltpoker.com You will also have the options to play for free and then to make the first deposit with the 100% bonus. These two poker rooms are the most reputable and every poker player has to register there IMHO
Then just don't stop on the $0.01/$0.02 limits too long. When you will feel that you already learned some tricks just raise your limits cause playing on the low stakes will not give you much skill and you will think that poker is just like the coin flip But this is not true. Poker is very intellectual game.
So just register there and Good Luck!
