    Default texas holdem situation plz help

    5 cards of the table.

    Q K K 8 10

    someone got Q and J, the other guy has Q and 10.

    another situation.

    Q Q K K K

    someone got A and 3, the other guy has Q and J.

    who wins and why plz explain, thanks!

    #1 - Q K K 8 10...

    Q J makes: K K Q Q J as his best 5-card hand
    Q 10 makes: K K Q Q 10 as his best 5-card hand

    Therefore Q J wins because of the J kicker.

    #2 - Q Q K K K...

    Both hands tie because they both have a full house of K K K Q Q (kings over queens). The extra Q from the Q J hand becomes irrelevant.
