Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself. Started playing online poker about 8 months ago and so far I've been having bad luck. I started out roughly with $75 and down to $25. I play a variety of cash and tournament games, but none of them come with any success.
Im not sure if it is my conservative approach, I play minimal hands and play the good cards. I normally see weak cards turn into good cards in the flop.
Just seems like I am missing my good chances.
Besides being conservative, are there any good tips for me to improve my game? For cash games I stick to the micro .02/04 holdem limit, and for tourneys Ill do single table 10 person no-limit.
Also I realized that by being so conservative, I tend to be on the short stack or below average in most games.
thanks
Luke

Welcome to the forums!
You can try to open your range a little bit in later positions. You might be playing a little too tight, and when you do get a hand and raise, you are transparent.
Post a couple of Hand Histories in the Analysis forum, and I am sure people will glad to give you input.
Cheers,
DD

Welcome.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R
KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

Welcome!
Don't be TOO conservative, or else people will automatically know when you have a powerul hand, and won't give you any action. Limit ring games are not like no-limit, a lot more starting hands play well because you can't bet so much at once. For STT's (singe table tourneys), being tight for the first few levels is best, but then you need to start playing a few more starting hands to start gathering chips or at least not losing as much because of the blinds. For great rakeback options and lots of member freerolls and promotions, sign up at Rakebrain!

I guess I do play too tight. I rarely will play anything lower then pocket 10s, 10Jo and so forth. Been told to stick to mainly the high value cards. Is there a way I can import my hands, Ive been using Poker Tracker while playing games.
