Default A New Blog for Newbies

A friend of mine is starting a blog for new folks in the poker world. Sounds like it will be mostly news, links, and micro-stakes. Thought some of the newbies might find it useful.

My $10 is currently at $455 after about 2 total months of play, never play more than 5% of your BR!

Hey , I like this... I am a newb , but I used to play video games pretty religiously... This of course means I can multitable pretty intensely... I'm still learning but I intend to be one of the best, I figure I'd show support to whomever in this thread is trying to build bankroll from next to none... My BR has fluctuated since the beginning of my buy in, but I am confident after a few SNG victories under my belt I should be able to start moving upwards... Cheers!

I'm already at about 20+ tables, I make quite a bit of mistakes, but once I iron out my errors I'll be much better... Mainly my big tip is LEARN position... ESPECIALLY when multi tabling..and give up low pocket pairs because people will raise you a lot of the time and force you out of a pot... If you can catch low PP from a late pos. Then simply call the bet if a lot of players are in pot and look to catch a set... Be weary of other players playing pairs when you make your raises and take down morons who put after flop trying to flush/straight block.

Ummm what else... Don't rush, money comes with logical play, and you lose money fast by getting upset at the Pokerstars gods. They will help you win many a hand when you are down just like when a dude sucks out vs. your aces...
