Understanding poker hands

There are lots of sites out there that will help with poker stratergy.
I specialise on 6 max No Limit. In this game the hands you play pre flop vary based on your position at the table in relation to the dealer button (tighter under the gun & looser on the button) and how the other players around you are playing. So if everyone is super loose, you open a mich tighter range for value (you figure to be ahead of them with the hands you play) and if everyone is super tight, you can run them over with a wider range (for example against a super nit, you can raise with any two cards on the button to steal the blinds)
This is very general info but want to help you think about the game differently. truth is that hand range charts do help some people get started but I personally hate them because there is no perfect starting hand chart to play. What's more important in becoming a winning player is how you think about the game.
