Hello all. After about a year of poker I think I've finally come to understand it. After countless times of running up my BR, playing inside though mostly outside my limits and losing it due to beats, tilts and being outplayed I'm ready to become serious. I figure I've deposited about 1400 or so and had no cashes but ran it up in the high hundreds and even a grand sometimes it's time to do it right.
Tomorrow I'm going to deposit 25 ( 50 if I feel it necessary ) and I'm going to start playing 1-2 hours a day of .1/.2 NLHE and around 3 .10 MTTs. I will update my progress and post a few hands throughout each session. I'm starting this thread mainly because I'm sure someone out there can relate and maybe after typing I can keep myself on track. Well, wish me luck, I'll be out there grindin'.

I wish you good luck, but if you plan to deposit 50$, you should not play 0.10$/0.20$ it's way too high. I would advice you to play NL5 and wait to have around 150/200$ to move up.

To the one guy I meant to type .01/.02. Anyway 1st session results. Played one .10 MTT and was sucked out on preflop by a Q8 then a session of 3-tabling .02 NLHE.

- a total of 88 out of 197 (44%)
Pots won at showdown - 16 of 30 (53%)
Pots won without showdown - 32
Total profit: $6.66 (spooky)

If posting all these pisses off the mods just tell me guys.
Well, staying positive I like playing within my BR and with people who have no clue what's going on. Played some 6max .02 and good results. I played small ball and probably the most aggressive and loose I've ever played.
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 231 hands and saw flop:
- 29 out of 51 times while in big blind (56%)
- 32 out of 51 times while in small blind (62%)
- 58 out of 129 times in other positions (44%)
- a total of 119 out of 231 (51%)
Pots won at showdown - 23 of 33 (69%)
Pots won without showdown - 53
Ahh..Figure I'll just edit some post to keep the count down.
Played 3 1.20 sngs 8th, 8th, 7th....I think I'll just stick to cash for now.. Then the tilt came out of me and 5 bucks disappeared real quick. Anywho I w(on most of it back and now have about the same amount I started the session with...
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 282 hands and saw flop:
- 37 out of 63 times while in big blind (58%)
- 42 out of 64 times while in small blind (65%)
- 71 out of 155 times in other positions (45%)
- a total of 150 out of 282 (53%)
Pots won at showdown - 30 of 44 (68%)
Pots won without showdown - 63
total profit: -1.84 ( or close to )
Total Profit: $17.04
Oh and I've learned that it is way ev+ to buy in full and reload when you drop from $5 to $4. gogogo. I think I'm good for SnG's now because 40 buy in's is legit right? When should I stop if I loose a couple SnG's?Last edited by crowjo; 05-29-2009 at 05:31 PM.

I like this post. Good luck crowjo. Keep up with the updates.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R
KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

Whooa. Ok, really, really, I'm done with SnG's lol. I was thinking "no way I'm this bad, I used to be good.." wrong I placed 6th so I guess it's a little better. I tilted a bit and closed my tables so I don't have my stats for the session but I went on a good run at 9max table. I've now also lost count of BR but the session was profit...I wonder how long I can attain a profit gain like this.
Original BR: $25.00
Updated BR: $58.54
(oh and I played another .10 thing...the donkeys are crazy placed like 150th.)
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 419 hands and saw flop:
- 55 out of 86 times while in big blind (63%)
- 51 out of 89 times while in small blind (57%)

Pots won at showdown - 43 of 70 (61%)
Pots won without showdown - 81Last edited by crowjo; 05-29-2009 at 07:28 PM. Reason: nevermind the session was still up
