Hey all.
I stopping playing for about 4months (I was a novice when I stopped) and have recently got back into playing poker. Ive been playing 5/10 Low limit Holdem for play money. My expected earning was $20 per hour (2big blind per hour). In 15 hours of play I have taken my play money from 13,444 to 16,687. I have good bankroll managment (550Big bets for bank roll, and I will never buy in with more than 25% or my bankroll). Im pretty sure I play as a "Rock".
I know after around 1000 poker hands skill is the biggest factor and I think I have played that much.
My question is have i experienced enough varience and played enough poker for my results to show a long term gain? I want to start playing for cash and feel that I am ready.
Any advice is good advice.
Kind Regards, Erdnase

Am I ready??

You really can't judge if you are ready playing play money. This is just my opinion. If you play solid poker then you are probably ready for some micro stakes poker. Give it a shot.

the answer to your question as phrased is no. 15 hours is a relatively small sample at any stakes, and play money plays much different from real money games, even at .02/.04. that said, i'd just go for it. microstakes games are very soft and someone who uses good bankroll management and puts a little effort into learning can be a winner very easily. i suspect you will fall into this category, even if your results so far aren't enough to guarantee it.

I suck at cash NL holdem. But have put $50 into stars and playing 1c/2c blinds built it up thus far to $81.
Try it.

To be honest theirs an easy way to find out, theirs hundreds of sites out their offering $25+ for passing simple tests (most of which provide alot of tutorials to), work your way through & get some free money & then give it a go. Saves you losing an investment and lets you find out if your ready. Even the best players go broke so 1 shot isnt an indication either way, just as people can get lucky & turn nothing into alot - doesnt always mean their the best players in the world either.
So my advise in a nutshell, take advantage of the offers out their, get all the free cash you can to find out where you stand then make an informed choice with any risk to yourself.
