saw this on =4, what does it mean (in cash games)?
If it's same as going south, how is this an issue given that poker sites force you to buy in again with the last stack you had, meaning you cannot remove chips from the table?

Ratholing is done typically with shortstackers. They play real tight, double up, then sit out and move to another table. It pisses off the other players that want to try to get their money back off a supposedly weaker player.

read ssnl or the uNL and you learn fairly quickly who are solid solid players and just take their advice as gospel, and then the threads where good regs disagree are the true gold mines
also amazing how many people there with like 5k posts must be horribly losing players given some of their advice.

There are plenty of people on there, however, who intentionally give bad advice thinking they are keeping the games more fishy...I've heard this from winning players before: "When I'm on the bubble of an sng, I tighten up every time and let everyone else fight amongst eachother til I make the money."

Unless the good players collude in giving bad advice, which I think is unlikely for anything other than nosebleed stakes, you could always filter it out. Some other reg is going to hop in and say it's nonsense.
I can imagine some regs posting hands though that were intentionally played stupid
