Default Texas Hold'em betting questions.

I have a few questions regarding betting in Texas Hold'em:

1) Is a low limit game different from a limit game?

2) How's the amount of the blinds determined in pot limit and no limit games?

3) Does the upper limit have to be double the lower limit in limit games?

Any replies would be highly appreciated.

I recommend you start to read the Texas Hold'em rules thoroughly:

NLHE Tourneys = No Limit (Texas) Hold 'em Tournaments.

A limit game is a game where players can only bet a certain amounts, in increments of 10, 20, whatever, and the betting stops after a certain amount of action- one bet and three raises usually IIRC.

The upper limit is usually double the lower limit in limit games, yes.

And the blinds aren't determined by the game, you determine what blinds you play according to how big your bankroll is. Awkward wording, but I know what I mean. With a game with a $1-$2 blind structure, NL, you wanna play with about $200. And you want that $200 to represent 5% or less of your total roll.

There is no difference between the low limit and the limit holdem in terms of betting limitations because both of them have the rule of permitting a defined highest bet available. Of course in terms of specific amounts they may vary depending on the predefined rules in the poker room/table you are playing in. For more detailed information read Texas Holdem rules here.

Regarding the upper limit with respect to the lower limit it has to be twice the amount of the lower as in most of the online casinos, but just in case check the particular rules of the place you are playing at before sitting.

The blinds also depend on the stakes stated for the specific table of your choice. Hope it was heplful

There is a game available on the 360 its only about £4.00 to buy and basically will let you play poker (no real money involved) however it does teach you how to play. I suggest you get it!
