Newbie Question
I was wondering if you are playing Texas Hold 'em (or any other game where your hand is more than 5 cards), could you get two straights?
For instance, you have a 2,6 and the community cards are 3457K
Do you have a 2,3,4,5,6 straight and a 3,4,5,6,7 straight?
I guess the fundemental question is if each card can be used for 2 or more combinations at the same time.

Why would you want the lower straight?
Whatever makes the best hand is what plays, so the higher straight is what plays.

Yeah it COULD count as 2 straights, but only if you are playing a high/low split game.

To answer your "fundamental" question: Yes. This only applies when you are playing a game of High/Low, such as Omaha High/Low, where the high hand takes 1/2 the pot and the low hand takes the other half. First take the five cards that make the best high hand, and then take the five cards that make the best low hand and yes, you can use each card once in each hand.
