I just wanted to put in a post thanking the people that post genuinely good information here.

I've only been playing about 3 weeks, and have already seen a huge improvement in my game thanks to books, friends, web sites and this forum. This forum is especially the icing on the cake as it's goes to that extra level of detail in certain situations, very nice.

I'd especially urge anyone starting up to at least read the tight/aggressive sticky. It's probably the single most greatest help in understanding what tight aggressive is and a few reason why it's a good style. It took a week or so of not doing it well to understand it properly, but I'm getting the hang of it now.

So overall, I've been up and down, but managed to finish 7th in a 800 person $1.10 NLHE on PS and pocketed $25. Nice!
