Default should I have played this?

I was in mid position w/ callers in front. I decided to play the next guy called and the dealer raised. I folded. was this correct or should I have gone ahead and called? explanation? it was a loose game.

I don't really know what I am doing in limit, but once you called one bet you should definitely not be folding to one more bet. I am assuming at least two of the limpers before you called and the blinds probably called so you are already getting ~10:1 on your call with some suited semi-connectors, no reason to fold.

One more bet, a number of callers (what did the people between you and the re-raiser do?) you had to call IMO

A good rule to think about in the future is to never ever fold for one bet more once you limped in (or raised).
